I am a graduate student working in Accra Ghana at a non-profit as part of my degree program. I have had a Moneygram account for YEARS and wired money to family members in Accra many times.

I was attempting to wire money from my US bank account to a family member here when due to the institutional racism practiced by MoneyGram the transaction was flagged. I Answered security questions on an international call that I paid for and answered every question immediately with no hesitation. My account was closed with no reasonable explanation.

Since Moneygram has cheerfully shortchanged every transaction with out dated exchange rates this is a really crappy way to treat someone they have made a lot of money off of and I would like an explanation since apparently their customer service representative are incapable of giving one. I am here in Ghana struggling to get my own funds and have no resources.
